Ukulele Starter has something for all levels of player but it has been laid out in such a way that it offers support to anyone starting to play the ukulele.  It provides information, lessons, resources, encouragement and hopefully a little inspiration.  If you are thinking of buying a ukulele or have recently acquired one and want some direction - then Ukulele Starter is for you.

Make a regular stop at the site .... I will be adding new information, links and tips as I travel along the learning curve myself.  Anything useful that I find I will post on this site - you are also invited to add to this site - contact me with your own 'ukulele discoveries' .... good strumming.

When the ukulele is mentioned in conversation people often think of George Formby or Tiny Tim and start singing 'When I'm Cleaning Windows', 'Standing At A Lamp Post', or 'Tip Toe Through The Tulips'.  Young performers are now helping to break down these old associatons with the past.

Taylor Swift has helped make the ukulele more popular with her young audience.

If you have had the opportunity to watch the Austrailian TV series 'Winners & Losers' you will have heard Gin Wigmore (a very popular arist from New Zealand) sing "I Do" (Series 1 Ep 9).
